With this season VLeague 2 only consisting of 8 teams the season is already rounding up. Last weekends penultimate round saw Quang Nam secure a 4-2 victory over second placed Quang Ninh, and also their spot in next seasons VLeague. On a personal note i’m already looking forward to HaNoi T&T playing Quang Nam, as the team are based in Tam Ky on South Vietnam’s central coast, home to stunning beaches and famous for it’s Chicken and rice 🙂
Quang Nam players and officials celebrate promotion
A total of three teams will be promoted this year, as the VLeague expands back to 14 sides for 2014,with Quang Ninh, An Giang, Can Tho and Dong Thap all in contention for promotion. Rumours are rife though that the V Leagues Kien Giang haven’t paid their players for a while and may disband soon, therefore opening up another promotion spot.
I will be forgoing all of the promotion fanfare this Saturday afternoon in favour of getting down to the Hang Day stadium to watch bottom placed HaNoi FC take on second from bottom Binh Duong II.
