Becamex Bình Dương win the 2014 VLEAGUE. 03/08/2014

CDV-BD-mung-3-1407070111_660x0Becamex Binh Duong were crowned 2014 VLeague champions for the third time this weekend. A 3-1 win at Long An, while defending champions HaNoi T&T succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at DaNang, was enough to secured the title for Binh Duong with a game to spare.

Binh Duong have become the first team to win three VLeague titles after wins in 2007 and 2008. Đặng Văn Thành gave the champions in waiting the perfect start, finding the net after just 15 seconds. Binh Duong piled on the pressure and a brace from  Abass Chiekh Dieng, before half time, sealed the vital win. Oseni did pull a goal back during first half injury time for Long An, nothing more than a consolation.

Binh Duong held on for the vital win, putting themselves on 48 points after 21 matches.

Hanoi T&T could have forced the title race to enter the last weekend of the season with a win at Danang and looked set to after Hector nodded home a corner on 18 minutes. But that was the last real threat that Hanoi would cause. Danang began the second half brightly and a devastating 3 minute spell saw the title slip away from T&T. Zbrun Matias Jose equalized for the hosts before  Nguyễn Vũ Phong scored the decisive goal.
