Hà Nội T&T’s winless streak continued at the weekend as they fell to defeat at newly promoted Sanna Khánh Hòa BVN. Even with club captain Gonzalo returning to the front line, after completing a 3 match suspension, it was the home side that secured all three points in the resort town of Nha Trang. Sanna Khánh Hòa’s Dos Santos scored the only goal of the game on the 17th minute.
The result means last season’s runner-up have now secured just one point from their last four games. Sanna Khánh Hòa meanwhile move up to a very respectable 7th place in the league.
Thanh Hóa’s Da Silva scored 2 minutes in to injury time to steal a point off of league leaders Bình Dương in an entertaining 1-1 draw in Thanh Hoa on Friday evening.
Wins for Sông Lam Nghệ An and Than Quảng Ninh, against Đồng Tháp and Long An respectively, mean they both join Thanh Hoa on 20 points, 2 points behind the league leaders.
Đồng Tháp took an early lead through Nguyễn Minh Hưng (9’) but SLNA impressively hit back with goals from Trần Phi Sơn (57′), Lê Thế Cường (82′) and Hồ Phúc Tịnh (90’+1)
Vũ Minh Tuấn second goal of the season was enough for Quảng Ninh to inflict a defeat on the only remaining unbeaten side in the league, Long An.
Elsewhere, Đà Nẵng thumped bottom side Cần Thơ 5-0, with goals from Trần Văn Học (37′), Vũ Phong (54′ & 90’+2), Gomez (76′), Huy Toàn (85′). The result was only Đà Nẵng’s second win of the season and sees them leapfrog T&T into 8th position.
A solitary goal from Nguyễn Đình Hiệp was enough for Hai Phong to record a home win against Quảng Nam, while Hoàng Anh Gia Lai and Đồng Nai played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Pleiku. Đồng Nai led at the break thanks to a goal from Cameroonian striker Amougou. HAGL turned the game around in the second half with strikes from Hồng Duy & Thanh Hậu, but it was Dong Nai, without a win in 5, who snatched a late point courtesy of an injury time strike from Hải Anh.
Hồng Duy’s long range effort on 2.20′ is well worth a watch!
