The 2017 V League 1 season kicks-off in less than 3 weeks, with the opening day scheduled for January 7th.

The tie of the first weekend will see defending Champions, T&T, take on Cup winners, Quang Ninh, at the Hang Day Stadium, just a week after the two are scheduled to meet in the Super Cup. The two teams are certainly familiar with each other, having played the penultimate 2016 league match in Cam Pho (T&T won 1-0) back in september, then a two legged Cup final (Quang Ninh ran out 6-5 winners on aggregate).

2016 league runners-up, Hai Phong, welcome Sai Gon FC to the Lach Tray as they look to push on from last seasons impressive campaign.  Newly promoted HCMC open against Quang Nam FC.

HAGL, welcoming back Cong Phuong travel to much fancied Danang, while Thanh Hoa host SLNA.

Round 3 will see the first Ho Chi Minh City derby between Sai Gon FC  & TP HCM at Thống Nhất Stadium.
